i have a reason to leave the house again. :)

:)  because Mark came home!  haha, just kidding (but seriously).  He returned home on Sunday night and we got to spend all day yesterday together...it was awesome.  We made our famous belgian waffles (which if you haven't had them, we need to make an appointment to have you over for waffles!), watched our favorite tv shows, got coffee from Starbucks, ate at Chipotle and went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I thought the movie was awesome, I think Mark was somewhat indifferent considering he hasn't seen any of the other movies, or read any of the books (I had to do a lot of explaining during the movie!).   We also made dinner together and then watched some more hulu, cuddled up on my big comfy chair.  I was incredibly happy all day long and hardly remembered that I've been sick since Thursday (although constantly blowing my nose kind of reminded me..)

So today I am trying to avoid doing my homework.  Even though I like doing my homework, I always learn something, and I never really feel that burdened.  Its just the procrastinator in me..ha.  Thanks Momma.  While trying to avoid doing homework, my roommate (Jana) and I decided to rearrange the living room.  I wish I had taken before pictures, because it just looks about 40 times better (even though it could still use a lot of work, we just don't have much to work with!).  But here are some after pictures anyway :)

Like I said, not that exciting, but way better than before.

Okay, now I'm going to do homework, have a great Tuesday!  :)

to live is Christ, to die is gain.

The apostle Paul wrote those words in Philippians 1:21...God did some miraculous work thru Paul didn't he!? After Paul saw the light (literally) he traveled to Judea, Syria, Cilicia, Galatia, Pamphylia, Asia, Macedonia, Achaia and Italy. WOW. I've shared God's word....via skype to my bestie Nicole and...uhhh..shoot. What am I doing?! Yikes, I'm so ready to go, to tell of God's glory, to "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching." (2 Tim. 4:2) Its convicting to know that I really haven't done as much as I could be doing, if I died, I have no doubt I would meet Jesus, my Lord and Savior would know my heart and how much I love Him and my willingness and readiness to share Him with the world..but I also know He will stand before me and say, Look at what you could have had, if only you had come to me sooner, done My work rather than yours. In one of my earlier posts I had writ...

Midnight in Paris

I just stumbled upon these seriously gorgeous photos of Marion Cotillard and had to share! I am now itching to see Midnight in Paris because of its 93% rating from Rotten Tomatoes {and dang it's hard to please them!}. Have you seen it, did you enjoy it? xxoo

Dinner Fail, Dessert Win!

Last nights dinner was supposed to look like this Instead it turned out like this It was a serious fail. The flavor was good, but it looked terrible and took more than twice as long to make as we thought it would. Oh and, it was a bit too crispy. BUT Dessert redeemed me, it was Kiwi Lemon Cheesecake - Yum! The recipe called for lemon curd, and when I saw how expensive it was at the store, I decided to try and make my own! It turned out great, and this was the end result It was not quite as solid as it should have been, but delicious non-the-less! Both of these recipes were from Rachel Ray's Everyday magazine. It was exciting making new things, hopefully next time they turn out a bit better :) xxoo
