I've been a busy bee.

So busy in fact that I haven't had time to blog!  Or maybe I've not been too busy but instead have been unable to steal my husbands computer long enough to attach some photos!  Here is a run down from the last two weeks in photos!

My husband looking good at a church picnic :)

Part of a wedding gift from Michael and Melanie, the twiblings' parents!

What I made from that gift!  My scones were just a bit dry, I'll try for one minute less next time!

My new hair cut!  And a kiss for my husband,

The other part of my gift from M & M!!!  An amazing cast iron pan, and two beautiful le creuse casserole dishes!  Aren't they beautiful!

Our good friends Joe and Asena had their baby, Caedmon Hans Kurkinen.  Isn't he adorable!  I couldn't get enough of him!

Lastly my bestie Nicole came into town from Bartlett IL, and we went to Montage (duh!).  Yummy spold and umm...I don't remember what the other stuff was called, but it was delicious!

So that has been my last few weeks in a nutshell!  Oh, btw, you know Julia at 551 East Furniture Design?  She did a give-away a few weeks ago and I WON!  YESSS, I know, I never win anything, this was so exciting!  I won a Ryobi Sander.  I can't wait to get it in the mail and get started doing something with it!

Lastly, I just figured out how to add single pages to my blog (woohoo!), so I've been updating my 26 before 26 if you are interested in checking out my progress!

  1. I love cast iron pans. Cooking, while getting a wrist work out! Good luck on the scones next time!

  2. looks like you've been having fun! I have a cast iron skillet and it is my favorite. Are yours preseasoned or will you have to season them. If you do, no worries, it's super simple.

To make the collages I use picnik. It's free on the internet but I signed up for their upgrade because it gives you more options and it's only something like $24 for an entire year.

  3. LOVE the dishes, (some of my favorite wedding presents were le creuset:-), and the food and the little bubba. Happy summer! xoxo

to live is Christ, to die is gain.

The apostle Paul wrote those words in Philippians 1:21...God did some miraculous work thru Paul didn't he!? After Paul saw the light (literally) he traveled to Judea, Syria, Cilicia, Galatia, Pamphylia, Asia, Macedonia, Achaia and Italy. WOW. I've shared God's word....via skype to my bestie Nicole and...uhhh..shoot. What am I doing?! Yikes, I'm so ready to go, to tell of God's glory, to "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching." (2 Tim. 4:2) Its convicting to know that I really haven't done as much as I could be doing, if I died, I have no doubt I would meet Jesus, my Lord and Savior would know my heart and how much I love Him and my willingness and readiness to share Him with the world..but I also know He will stand before me and say, Look at what you could have had, if only you had come to me sooner, done My work rather than yours. In one of my earlier posts I had writ

Weekend

This weekend M and I got to go to Portland and spend some time with my sister and her family. She has two little boys and one on the way, so every second has noise/crying/laughter. Joellen and I got to spend some time away (went to the mall) which was a perfect break from chaos. I did get quite a bit of knitting done and was able to post some new stuff up on my Etsy shop ! I also got three custom orders (yay!!). If you see anything on my site you like but are interested in a different size, color or color combos just let me know! Here is a peek of my new product!

Midnight in Paris

I just stumbled upon these seriously gorgeous photos of Marion Cotillard and had to share! I am now itching to see Midnight in Paris because of its 93% rating from Rotten Tomatoes {and dang it's hard to please them!}. Have you seen it, did you enjoy it? xxoo
