Fill in the Blank Friday!

Look at me, two whole weeks in a row of being on time with my blanking, that's dedication people. Link up with Lauren here!.

1. The best surprise ever would be, a surprise vacation! For my husband to wake me up one morning and say, "I've packed your bag and called your work, we're going away for a week!". And then of course for him to take me somewhere warm and tropical. .

2. Mark and my 8 months of dating is my most favorite memory .

3. The hardest, but most worthwhile thing I've ever done was getting married. It wasn't too hard at the time, but after the fact I guess. Marriage is hard, but DEFINITELY worthwhile .

4. The best part of my day is either in the morning, when we get ready for our day together, or after work, when husband and I make dinner together and just enjoy each other all evening .

5. Something I like that most people don't is holding a crying baby. In hopes of course of calming it down, but I don't mind that it is screaming. .

6. Something I am willing to fight for is my marriage and my faith {Lauren said it perfectly!} .

7. Something you might not know about me is that I went to the same middle and high school as my husband and we never once had a conversation. And that we re-connected via Facebook {see, it's good for something!} .

Happy Long Weekend everyone! Hopefully I'll have something exciting to share next week!

to live is Christ, to die is gain.

The apostle Paul wrote those words in Philippians 1:21...God did some miraculous work thru Paul didn't he!? After Paul saw the light (literally) he traveled to Judea, Syria, Cilicia, Galatia, Pamphylia, Asia, Macedonia, Achaia and Italy. WOW. I've shared God's word....via skype to my bestie Nicole and...uhhh..shoot. What am I doing?! Yikes, I'm so ready to go, to tell of God's glory, to "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching." (2 Tim. 4:2) Its convicting to know that I really haven't done as much as I could be doing, if I died, I have no doubt I would meet Jesus, my Lord and Savior would know my heart and how much I love Him and my willingness and readiness to share Him with the world..but I also know He will stand before me and say, Look at what you could have had, if only you had come to me sooner, done My work rather than yours. In one of my earlier posts I had writ...

Dinner Fail, Dessert Win!

Last nights dinner was supposed to look like this Instead it turned out like this It was a serious fail. The flavor was good, but it looked terrible and took more than twice as long to make as we thought it would. Oh and, it was a bit too crispy. BUT Dessert redeemed me, it was Kiwi Lemon Cheesecake - Yum! The recipe called for lemon curd, and when I saw how expensive it was at the store, I decided to try and make my own! It turned out great, and this was the end result It was not quite as solid as it should have been, but delicious non-the-less! Both of these recipes were from Rachel Ray's Everyday magazine. It was exciting making new things, hopefully next time they turn out a bit better :) xxoo
