Graduation

Last weekend my itty bitty baby sister graduated high school! I can't believe it! She is headed to University of Oregon and will be performing on their dance team. Mark and I happily drove 6 hours to be with the family {along with the other 4 sisters, 2 nephews, sisters husband, other sisters boyfriend and of course mom and dad}.

This photo is from 1999, when the oldest Boatright graduated. We recreated the photo :)

Pretty close, except Shanni's scrawny legs are no longer scrawny and they are hiding under her gown!

She is too gorgeous! And too grown up!

Proud parents.

Me and the graduate.

Naomi {oldest} and I.

Crocker's and Shan!

Seriously. She's so stinking cute.

We got to spend a little bit of time with Mark's family while we were in town too {convenient, no?}. Mark's mom made us a wonderful scrapbook of our wedding {that I'll show off soon}, thanks again Becky! They also let us stay overnight in their trailer, with a cute little welcome basket inside! Having a warm free place to stay while in Coos Bay is always appreciated!

Happy thursday!

to live is Christ, to die is gain.

The apostle Paul wrote those words in Philippians 1:21...God did some miraculous work thru Paul didn't he!? After Paul saw the light (literally) he traveled to Judea, Syria, Cilicia, Galatia, Pamphylia, Asia, Macedonia, Achaia and Italy. WOW. I've shared God's word....via skype to my bestie Nicole and...uhhh..shoot. What am I doing?! Yikes, I'm so ready to go, to tell of God's glory, to "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching." (2 Tim. 4:2) Its convicting to know that I really haven't done as much as I could be doing, if I died, I have no doubt I would meet Jesus, my Lord and Savior would know my heart and how much I love Him and my willingness and readiness to share Him with the world..but I also know He will stand before me and say, Look at what you could have had, if only you had come to me sooner, done My work rather than yours. In one of my earlier posts I had writ...

Midnight in Paris

I just stumbled upon these seriously gorgeous photos of Marion Cotillard and had to share! I am now itching to see Midnight in Paris because of its 93% rating from Rotten Tomatoes {and dang it's hard to please them!}. Have you seen it, did you enjoy it? xxoo

Dinner Fail, Dessert Win!

Last nights dinner was supposed to look like this Instead it turned out like this It was a serious fail. The flavor was good, but it looked terrible and took more than twice as long to make as we thought it would. Oh and, it was a bit too crispy. BUT Dessert redeemed me, it was Kiwi Lemon Cheesecake - Yum! The recipe called for lemon curd, and when I saw how expensive it was at the store, I decided to try and make my own! It turned out great, and this was the end result It was not quite as solid as it should have been, but delicious non-the-less! Both of these recipes were from Rachel Ray's Everyday magazine. It was exciting making new things, hopefully next time they turn out a bit better :) xxoo
