Let's talk about GOALS!

When was the last time you set yourself some goals?   Did you write it down?  Did you pin it up on your inspiration board?  Did you just think about it and then forget the next week?

Today is the day for setting goals and putting a plan in action to achieve them!  But first we need to know how to set goals.

Specific - Give your goal some personality, instead of just saying 'I want to learn Spanish' write down 'I want to know 250 Spanish words'.

Measurable - How will you measure it?  Keep a written list?  Quiz yourself once a week on how many new words you have learned and write them all down!  This should keep you motivated seeing how far you are already coming along!

Achievable - Is your goal feasible and attainable?   Make sure YOU have the influence to make this happen!

Relevant - Is this goal relevant to your life right now and the direction you are headed?  Make sure your goals are working in your favor and not against you!  There is no reason to set a goal that isn't going to push you farther ahead in the life you are living!

Timeline - Set a specific date you want your goals to be accomplished within!  A month, 60 days, by August first?  Pick a day and stick to it, don't push it further and further away!

Now that you have a guideline for creating goals, you need to put together your task list of how you will be achieving your goal.  For instance, if you want to know 250 Spanish words in 10 weeks, each week you know you need to learn 25 new words.  If you have set a fitness goal, create time in your schedule to go to the gym 4-5 times a week and keep yourself accountable!

YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON WHO WILL MAKE SURE YOU SUCCEED!!!

Tell me your goals and how you are going to achieve them!  Need help putting together some goals or a plan?  Comment and leave your email and I would love to help!

Next week I will share my goals and my plan to achieve them!

to live is Christ, to die is gain.

The apostle Paul wrote those words in Philippians 1:21...God did some miraculous work thru Paul didn't he!? After Paul saw the light (literally) he traveled to Judea, Syria, Cilicia, Galatia, Pamphylia, Asia, Macedonia, Achaia and Italy. WOW. I've shared God's word....via skype to my bestie Nicole and...uhhh..shoot. What am I doing?! Yikes, I'm so ready to go, to tell of God's glory, to "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching." (2 Tim. 4:2) Its convicting to know that I really haven't done as much as I could be doing, if I died, I have no doubt I would meet Jesus, my Lord and Savior would know my heart and how much I love Him and my willingness and readiness to share Him with the world..but I also know He will stand before me and say, Look at what you could have had, if only you had come to me sooner, done My work rather than yours. In one of my earlier posts I had writ...

Midnight in Paris

I just stumbled upon these seriously gorgeous photos of Marion Cotillard and had to share! I am now itching to see Midnight in Paris because of its 93% rating from Rotten Tomatoes {and dang it's hard to please them!}. Have you seen it, did you enjoy it? xxoo

Dinner Fail, Dessert Win!

Last nights dinner was supposed to look like this Instead it turned out like this It was a serious fail. The flavor was good, but it looked terrible and took more than twice as long to make as we thought it would. Oh and, it was a bit too crispy. BUT Dessert redeemed me, it was Kiwi Lemon Cheesecake - Yum! The recipe called for lemon curd, and when I saw how expensive it was at the store, I decided to try and make my own! It turned out great, and this was the end result It was not quite as solid as it should have been, but delicious non-the-less! Both of these recipes were from Rachel Ray's Everyday magazine. It was exciting making new things, hopefully next time they turn out a bit better :) xxoo
