On a Diet

Yep. You read that right. I'm on a diet. Of 1200 calories and working out daily. It's weird and hard and most days I'm sick of it...but I'm pretty sure it's working. I'm tired every night, but ready to get going every morning, I haven't gone down pounds wise yet, but I can see my body changing, and I'm eating more fruit and vegetables but not starving to death! Also, I'm doing this Summer Butt Challenge . I know summer is ending but now I just want a better looking butt before getting pregnant, because really...this booty is seriously going to grow during pregnancy. How could it not? It's the first thing that gains and the last to lose. I'm hoping my booty and thighs will turn out like this Here. And this Here. I think anyone who knows me knows my tush will never be that tiny, but a girl can dream right?

Birthday Wishlist

My birthday is right around the corner {ugh} so to make myself feel better about turning 26 I started putting together a wish list of items. Items that I don't actually care if I get, but right now they are making me feel better. About...you know. Being old{er}. 1. 2. 3. 4.

A birthday weekend.

The last week of July we took a 7 hour road trip {starting at 5 am} to Silverwood theme park in northern Idaho. It was our friend Tyler's birthday, so four of us couples jumped in two cars and headed east! We had such a blast! Silverwood has a portion of the park with roller coasters and another with water, wave pools and tube rides! We got there and immediately jumped on the roller coasters, and rode The Aftershock twice {click the link to watch a crazy video of it!}. Here are some photos from the day! The girls! Just before our first ride! First ride was a success! Got soaked on the rafting ride. The whole crew! We are so blessed to have such a great group of friends here in Oly!

We Love Oly.

Mark and I are really loving being in Olympia, surrounded by a ton of our best friends, here are just a few pictures of when we first moved up, getting used to our surroundings (fro-yo, obv) and testing our new grill with delicious kabobs. Mark may or may not have thrown out his back while putting the kabobs together. Ha. Good thing we have an awesome chiropractor. :)

Fill In the Blank Friday!

Happy Friday Friends! I hope you are all great and ready for a sunny weekend!  Mark and I are going kayaking with some friends in the Puget Sound :)  I'm slightly nervous, I've never done it and I'm just hoping I'm strong enough! 1.   The best thing to do on a hot day is     to stay inside somewhere cool.  But lately we've been playing tennis.  Where there is no shade.  It's slightly terrible in 86-90 degrees, but we make it through and love it in the end  . 2.    The best place to be on a hot day is    a lake, pool or river!   . 3.   The best thing to eat on a hot day is      anything with ice!  Iced (now decaf) latte,  slurpee, ice cream...you get it! 4.  Hot days       are never expected here in the NW, but always appreciated . 5.  My go to uniform on a warm summer day is    jean shorts and a tank top.  Or a light summer dress . 6.  The scent that reminds me of summer is   body butter or  pina colodas   . 7.   My favorite thing a

The Paris Wife

Just thought I would post my short review of this book that I loved and hated at the same time. My little red eyes are freshly finished with the story, but the tears made finishing the book a bit sweeter. The Paris Wife by Paula McLain My rating: 5 of 5 stars I truly enjoyed reading The Paris Wife, it all felt so happy and real and true. Then suddenly it didn't, and I felt Hadley's true sadness sweep through my heart. I hadn't ever read anything about Hemingway before, and that definitely helped, I had no idea how tragic the book would end.

Pity Party

The last few weeks have been filled with fun adventures with friends, but I know you lovely readers have no idea because I've just been having a pity party over here, not wanting to write about anything until I get pregnant. But that's just silly. I have plenty to share and I'm ready to start being a more regular presence on my blog again. Here are just a few snippets from lately, see you again soon! Getting to know this little girl. Making memories with this hottie.
