A kid, a coach and the best husband ever.

Hello!  My oh my has it been forever since I have blogged.  My brain has been too squished with life to want to sit down and write about it.  Today I have an hour to just sit and be, so I thought I should fill you in!

We still aren't pregnant.  We aren't worried about it!  A few MAJOR life changes have been happening over the last few months and I can just imagine how I would have reacted to them if I were pregnant or had a newborn!  First, Mark's position at the state was terminated due to lack of funds, so he has spent the last 7 weeks looking for a new job.  He got offered a position last week (YAY!!!) so he will start his new job in a few weeks!  Phew!  Meanwhile, I have been BUSY with nannying and coaching CrossFit!  Yes, I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (come workout with me!!) and I have been coaching 16ish hours a week!  My dear sweet husband has been doing SO MUCH for us around the house, I am legitimately worried about what will happen to us once he starts working again (for real, he cooks 90% of our meals and I can see us starving to death once he is working).  He also has been doing 90% of the dishes, laundry and household chores.  Okay, truth is, he gets bored during the day and why not clean the house (plus he likes it clean).  I will probably be fine.  Hopefully.  Maybe.  Pray for us/him.

Second big thing is that we *might have the opportunity to adopt a sweet girl who needs parents to love her unconditionally.  We have been spending more and more time with her and honestly can't imagine life without her anymore.  We both love her so much and she really flourished while staying with us for a few days!

*I say we might have the opportunity because there are other family members that want to adopt this sweet girl.  There are home studies happening and the state will chose the family they think is most suitable for her in the long run, not just in the present.  We might not be parents yet, but I have extensive nannying background and we honestly are SO ready to be parents.  Mark is so sweet with her and so willing to do anything she wants.  I love watching them play an interact together, it makes my mama heart so full!

So this is the Crocker life happenings at this point!  I will try to be more faithful about blogging as I have TONS of ideas for when I have a little, and so many other things to share!

PS.  I want to do a giveaway to my amazing sister's etsy shop.  She has given me two necklaces for you to choose from!  More on this later on in the week!

Sweetheart VoxBox Opening!

Okay, disclaimer-this is the first time I have made a video. I'm awkward, I don't know what I'm saying, and I'm kind of embarrassed. BUT I love all the products and can't wait to try them out!

Also, I say that the Va-Va-Vivid is a facial massager, and it is, but it is massaging for a deep clean, not just to feel good!

All of these items came complementary from Influenster!

Weekend

This weekend M and I got to go to Portland and spend some time with my sister and her family. She has two little boys and one on the way, so every second has noise/crying/laughter. Joellen and I got to spend some time away (went to the mall) which was a perfect break from chaos. I did get quite a bit of knitting done and was able to post some new stuff up on my Etsy shop! I also got three custom orders (yay!!). If you see anything on my site you like but are interested in a different size, color or color combos just let me know! Here is a peek of my new product!

New Path!

I am loving everything CrossFit right now ya'll, I seriously cannot workout enough, or hard enough! I'm always trying to see where in the workout I could have gone harder or faster or pushed 'I can't' out of my head instead of letting it sit there for a while. It feels awesome to be in shape again, to say I'm almost back to the athlete I once was!

I'm not losing any more on the scale, I've capped out at 11.5 pounds gone, but I can see my muscles tightening up a little more each week! I'm definitely gaining muscle weight! Over the next few weeks my trainer Cody is officially starting to get the box he's running up and going, and oh man...he asked me if I would like to coach! There is a lot I have to do to get there, but the fact that he thinks I can do it feels amazing! I couldn't be more excited to start running down this new life path, to actually have a career goal like this-it's one of the best feelings! CrossFit Audacity people!

I forgot to tell you about the results of this day. It turned out awesome, we got there and we're getting all pumped up when he broke the news to us, we were actually going to be doing the workout TWICE! But I killed it with 9:30 the first round and 11:30 my second round (my previous time was 13:27 for just one round!). And its been like this with every workout that we've repeated, always at LEAST a 4 minute PR (personal record). And I can do about 30 unbroken double unders now! Big jump for me!

Here's just a little motivation for you and if you live near by, email me about our crossfit box!

Simple Saturdays

This is what our lazy Saturday morning looked like today.

Working on a commissioned hat for a friend and drinking some soothing tea for my maybe getting sick throat. This nanny is a sucker for those big sad eyes of a sick baby, which means too many kisses from someone with a cold.

I hope your Saturday morning is as lazy as mine!

PS. M and I got a new camera (Canon Rebel t3i) so please forgive me if I start posting too many pictures :)

Hope and Faith

Last month was my last chance of getting pregnant in time to still have a baby at the age of 26. Of course I know it doesn't really matter what age I am when I have my first child, it was just because that was how old my mom was when she had me. It felt like it would be a fun connection between us three. And then my period was 5 full days late! And I was just so so happy. On day three of lateness we were at church and I was just thanking Jesus for the ability to be a mom, and of fulfilling this dream of mine and I prayed for the health of my little tot and that it would always just feel so loved by us. I knew that God loved me and wanted to show me that I shouldn't doubt Him, that He has my back.
Then on Wednesday I started my period.
Sigh*
But I am still reminded of that joyous feeling I had on Sunday, that I should still have complete faith in my Father, that He loves me more than I can imagine and that soon enough M and I will get our child.
And right now I have so much hope for our future. And I am daily praying for strength and for these feelings of hope and faith last me a lifetime.

Meanwhile I am using CrossFit to keep me occupied enough to not make me think more about it than needed. And I'm thinking that if I'm not going to be growing a big baby belly starting this month that I'll just work more on getting a six pack. And in nine months when I still don't quite have a baby to snuggle with, I'll snuggle with my amazing husband.
