26 before 26.

I love stalking other people's blogs. One of my favorites is Jordans blog over at trailergypsy.net. Today she posted her 25 before 26 list, and tho I still have a few months before I'm 25, I made one as well :). So this list consists of 26 things I want to do before I turn 26!

1. Sew a shirt.
2. Read one book a month (I'm gonna say 14 books, since I'm not quite 25!).
3. Make an ironing board cover.
4. Order our wedding photos and hang them!
5. Make a chevron tote bag.
6. Crochet a blanket.
7. Make or purchase an area rug!
8. Decorate the house more (paint, hang things, make things!)
9. Make a knotted duvet cover.
10. Find chairs for the living room.
11. Go on a road trip with my husband.
12. Become great at yoga.
13. Put all my recipes into bento (that one is for my hubs).
14. Go hiking more.
15. Do something scary.
16. Post more on my blog.
17. Go to a concert (or two) with my husband.
18. Make jam. Blackberry, strawberry, raspberry...yum!
19. Take walks more often.
20. Bake a yummy cake from scratch.
21. Do 1 diy project a month.
22. Go to Canada!!
23. Get a job.
24. Knit a blanket for each friend that has a baby.
25. Make more friends.
26. Drink more water and less soda / coffee.

Wow. That actually took about 8 hours to come up with all of them! Sheesh! Do any of you have a list? How is it coming along? I can't wait to get started on mine!!

  1. Eek, I don't even want to make a list b/c I'm afraid of all the things I won't actually do!!! Ha, totally a "me" thing. Ah well. Your list is great - lots of crafting to do!! Also, you can come over, we can go pick strawberries and make jam together... or, I should be getting blackberries in my CSA box of fresh produce starting in July, so we could make blackberry jam too! Love you sis :)

  2. Love it!! I'm doing a tutorial next week on how to make a rug, it might fit it for number 7! A good site for Jam recipes if Food in Jars. She has all kinds of canning know how.

to live is Christ, to die is gain.

The apostle Paul wrote those words in Philippians 1:21...God did some miraculous work thru Paul didn't he!? After Paul saw the light (literally) he traveled to Judea, Syria, Cilicia, Galatia, Pamphylia, Asia, Macedonia, Achaia and Italy. WOW. I've shared God's word....via skype to my bestie Nicole and...uhhh..shoot. What am I doing?! Yikes, I'm so ready to go, to tell of God's glory, to "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching." (2 Tim. 4:2) Its convicting to know that I really haven't done as much as I could be doing, if I died, I have no doubt I would meet Jesus, my Lord and Savior would know my heart and how much I love Him and my willingness and readiness to share Him with the world..but I also know He will stand before me and say, Look at what you could have had, if only you had come to me sooner, done My work rather than yours. In one of my earlier posts I had writ...

Midnight in Paris

I just stumbled upon these seriously gorgeous photos of Marion Cotillard and had to share! I am now itching to see Midnight in Paris because of its 93% rating from Rotten Tomatoes {and dang it's hard to please them!}. Have you seen it, did you enjoy it? xxoo

What I've been HALFway reading.

Guys. I've started around 512 books over the last few months. I haven't finished any. GAH. Here's just a few - Divergent by Veronica Roth. I'm so excited to actually keep reading this. I loved the movies but feel like the books are ALWAYS better. I haven't read much of this one yet because I feel guilty every time I pick it up. I always feel like I should be reading something that will improve me. I'll finish it some day. Simple Steps to Foot pain Relief by Katy Bowman, MS. I started reading this one for clients who have foot / knee / hip / back / shoulder pain. Basically any pain. I love trying to help my clients more than what they expect, so bits of information I can soak in and pass on are great! Katy Bowman does a great job breaking down the foot and then gives some awesome techniques on things you can do to help your feet. I'm close to done with this one actually, and thats good because it's due back at the library in a few days. Goo...
