fill in the blank friday!

YAY.  I haven't done one of these in forever!!  SUPER excited.. (myself and my white husband on the first day of our honeymoon!  Someday I will actually take the time to write "Fill in the blank friday' on it!) 1.    Something that makes me a great friend is,          that I really try to make sure that when we hang out (even if it isn't often) that we have a great time, and that I can make them go a little bit deeper in our conversations.  Superficial friendships drive me crazy, I like getting to know your heart!   . 2.   I am      a total homebody.  like SERIOUSLY homebodied.  All I want everyday is to sit around with my husband.  Now, if I got to work with my husband or go grocery shopping with my husband I would LOVE it and no longer be a homebody...but unless someone finds us a job we can have together, I will forever ONLY want to be at home with my man.       ...

the best part about being mrs. crocker...

is obviously that I'm married to mr. crocker :) and that mr. crocker seriously rocks life.  last week was a bad week, and on Friday my loving, handsome, amazing husband brought me home flowers (all pink and purple!).  also, he makes me dinner on days that he is home before me, he almost never says no when I ask for something, and he is seriously good-looking :)   he is the most dependable man that I know, and he really cares about everyone he knows...he hates when i'm angry and always tries to fix it right away.  he is always helping around the house and is REALLY good at chores!   he tells me i'm beautiful all the time, he lets me rant about my day for as long as it takes for me to get it out of my system, he doesn't bug me about my messy desk (even though I know it bothers him!), and he really really truly loves me when i'm dorky.  actually i think he likes me best when i'm dorky :)   anyway, i just wanted to say that i love my husband more than ...

i'm a wife!

Can you believe that I am actually a wife?  A wife to the most amazing man in the whole world (for me, I understand that you other ladies are also married to the most amazing man in the world for you).   Being married is...hard to describe.  I love that now I come home to my man everynight, and when we say goodnight, its not staring out the door as Mark walks away, its snuggled up in bed all cozy together.  I have SO much to blog about...I doubt that I'll ever be able to talk about it all.  Here is my "to blog about" list. -  The last few weeks before the wedding. -  The morning of the wedding (it makes my stomach flip just thinking about it!!). -  The big event. -  The day after!  And the honeymoon in Hawaii. -  Going back to work after the Honeymoon.  Some people call this real life. I really really really want to just spend hours blogging about ...

thank you mat kearney.

for writing a great song that my almost husband and i will have our first dance to :) not too much has been happening lately.  just work, wedding planning...the regular stuff (my regular is going to be so much different after the wedding!!).   i've found that if i listen to podcasts on my drives to and from work, i don't get as stressed over traffic, so i've been listening to a lot of Matt Chandler from the Village church in Texas.  he is one of my favorite teachers...he always seems to talk about something that is relevant to me, which is great that the Bible is relevant to my life ;) anyway, he did a series on Colossians last year, and i'm listening to those...which is actually super awesome because my first term of Bible college was ALL ABOUT Colossians.  i can't wait to get through the entire thing.  i've also been working on reading the Bible beginning to end.  i don't think i've read much of the old testament, but so far i love it (in Numbers...

one day at a time.

oh man, the last few days have been rough.  my emotions have been all over the place.  i can't decide if its because of the birth control or because i'm getting married in 21 days or the stresses of a new job....okay, honestly it could be because of like one million things, so instead of just picking one lets just say there is a lot going on right now and it stresses me out and makes me grumpy.  poor Mark, sometimes we women can be just plain crazy.  BUT i don't want Mark to be worried that he is marrying a crazy person, so i have to start trying harder to not have worries, because worrying is NOT good for the soul.  its makes a person insecure and unsure about everything.  every tiny little thing that could go wrong then turns into a huge fiasco, and all for nothing.  fiascos do absolutely nothing.  okay, so my resolve is to let go and not sweat the small things.  sheesh.  it even sounds hard right now ;)  have a good weekend ...

the new job.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but for 5 days now I've woken up at 6:09am (I know its very odd, its all Nicole's fault!)...and I like it.  I'm actually enjoying waking up super early.  Craziness!  I wake up, make some cereal and coffee and sit down and read my bible until about 7:30, then get ready for work, always with more extra time to do my morning blog-stalking!  Its awesome :)  Then I go to work, get off at 5, and come home to Mark!  Yesterday I came home to dishes unloaded, bathroom tidied up, living room looking awesome...Um, I'm about to marry the most amazing man, he is so great!           I guess all this was leading up to me telling you about my new job.  Its not that exciting, but in the last week and a half, I've changed only ONE diaper (yay!).  So far I've just been doing a lot of filing, learning and trying to get the other receptionist caught up on paperwork piling up on her desk.  I thin...

marriage.

So, this seems a bit strange to be blogging about, mostly because, I don't really know the first thing about marriage yet.  I don't know what its going to be like, how we will react to it...I basically just know that I can't wait :)  But I think its actually starting to hit me that in 40 days and 6 hours I will be standing in front of 100 or more people, confessing my undying love to my Mark....and to be honest, it kind of scares the dickens out of me.  First of all, the fact that I have to walk in to a room, where everybody then stands up to stare at me.  Oh my goodness, anyone that  even barely knows me probably knows that I hate the spotlight like that.  People are going to be staring at me!!!!  (WARNING : for those of you attending the wedding, please don't laugh at my face when it instantly turns bright red!).  Secondly, I'm really going to be married.  I tried to explain this thought to Mark the other day, and he laughed at me (go figur...
